Lotus’s Melaka Cheng had once again mobilized its resources and colleagues in helping those in need in its community.
By request from the local Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM), Lotus’s Melaka Cheng supplied individually packed biscuits, cup noodles, face masks and antiseptic germicide to the local quarantine centers and medical frontliners on duty. Because of the rising Covid-19 cases in the country, quarantine centres are stretched thin and need the support of corporate entities like us.
The local JKM knew that our Melaka Cheng store was the correct place to seek aid from because of past community-centric efforts by Store General Manager, Thangamani Doraisamy (better known as Thanga) such as supplying aid in the form of food and household goods to the Tanjung Minyak Police Station, Zoo Melaka, Rumah Kebajikan Anak-Anak Harapan and flood victims.
