Almond NESTLE Cornflakes Cookies

Ingredients:

    A
  • 150 gm Plain flour
  • 75 gm Corn flour
  • 50 gm Custard powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder

  • 100 gm NESTLÉ® CORN FLAKES, coursely crushed
  • 60 gm Almond powder
  • 200 gm Butter
  • 120 gm Icing sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • 1 Egg, slightly beaten, sliced almonds

Method:

  1. Sift together ingredients A, mix in NESTLÉ® CORN FLAKES and almond powder; set aside.
  2. Cream butter, icing sugar, egg and vanilla essence until well mixed. Fold in flour mixture and mix well mix well to form a soft dough.
  3. Roll dough into 1 cm thickness. Using a cookie cutter, cut dough into you desired shape.
  4. Place on lightly greased baking tray.
  5. Glaze cookies with beaten egg and decorate sliced almond on top of the cookies.
  6. Bake in preheated oven at 180°C for 12-15 minutes or until lightly brown.
Decoration:
  1. Melt white chocolate.
  2. Add 1 drop of your preferred colour.
  3. Stir the colour and white chocolate until well mixed.
  4. Using piping bag, draw your preferred pattern on top of the freshly baked biscuit.
